I conceive theoretical research as another form of creation. Immersing myself in archives, books, journals, exhibitions, and artworks (or in that space where each new piece of information and thought intertwine) is, for me, a material gesture, as bodily as painting or drawing. Writing in the margins and beginning a new document allow me to discover theoretical gaps to fill, to nurture doubts (the more, the better), and to establish connections between works, ideas, and experiences that have not yet found their form. My theoretical inquiries thus unfold as cartographies of thought, accompanying my artistic practice—often even provoking it. These writings are, for me, another space of exploration, where I try to channel the same creative energy that drives me to keep questioning and searching.
