Millimeter cities

Small artist book, 2012.

If Fictional Cities analyzed the alienating rhythm of the metropolis and the loss of vital pauses, Cut-out Cities, for its part, addressed—through formal abstraction—the austerity policies that fracture communities and erode social bonds. Millimeter Cities takes that reflection to a more intimate plane, exploring the city’s rhythm in small collages made on graph paper and on handwritten sheets bearing medical notes on mental disorders, as a way of linking the urban with individual fragility and obsessions.
